FHF is a non-profit, non-sectarian, non-profession group of Herons Glen residentsvolunteers organized to assist others in the community. The object of FHF is to provide services in the following areas.

Services Provided by FHF

Medical/Children Equipment:

Wheel chairs, walkers, commodes, canes and crutches are available to be barrowed for short periods of time. Children’s equipment includes, pack and play, car seats and high chairs. There is a form to be signed out when equipment is requested.

Equipment should be clean and in good repair when returned.

Transportation:

An FHF volunteer in cooperation with "Veterans of the Glen" will provide transportation for medically related appointment. As needed transportation can be arranged for pick up of meds or essential groceries during a medical home stay.

Sunshine/Share A Lunch:

This committee volunteer will arrange for a gathering at the Restaurant on a monthly basis for resident who would benefit for this opportunity to socialize. Also the committee will send sympathy and get well cards when needed.

Respite/Visit:

Respite visits are provide to primary caregivers of a loved one to allow the caregiver some free time to take care of some personal needs.
